I am so deeply in love with Elizabeth Hartman's quilt patterns and fabrics. The first quilt I ever made was one of her patterns, a Hazel Hedgehog quilt for my nephew, so her work has a special place in my quilt story.
I've got a whopping FIVE Elizabeth Hartman projects on my plate this summer! Some are bigger than others, like the Fancy Forest sample quilt I'm making for my local quilt shop that I'm hoping to finish this month. I'm happy to have finished the first two Elizabeth Hartman projects on my list this summer!
I loved making this giant floor cushion for my nephew's birthday present! When I found the pattern on Craftsy, I immediately thought that Elizabeth Hartman's Pacific fabric would be perfect. I couldn't be happier with the results! I made a lot of modifications to the pattern, including making it a little bigger, adding a zipper and making a muslin cover for the stuffing inside, and adding fusible fleece to the fabric to make it a little sturdier. When I started stuffing the cushion, my dog assumed the cushion was for him and loved it so I let him play on it before my nephew's birthday party.
My other early Elizabeth Hartman finish this summer was a quick and easy Fancy Fox pillow I made for a cousin's baby shower.
Stay tuned for more adorable quilts and projects I'm working on from Elizabeth Hartman this summer!
